Patrick A. Patterson has long had a passion for writing. He studied creative writing at both Chabot Community College in Hayward, as well as California State University East Bay Hayward. He is living his dream and covering the team that he has loved since his dad took him to games during the days of the "Movin' van on Highway 63" for both TFDS and Examiner.com. Besides sportswriting, he is perennially working on his debut novel. He is also a photographer, who takes most of the shots used on TFDS. He lives in that vast swath of farmland mixed with suburbia that encompasses the Central Valley, barely inside the blackout radius.
Patrick passed away suddenly on Thanksgiving day, November 25, 2010. He was just 37 years of age. He will forever be a vital part of TFDS in every phase and will be sorely missed.
